opposition to the proposed housing development in Inverhuron (Tidman S-2022-15).
First off, thank you so much for your support. We have crossed the 200 signature mark and are still climbing!
A quick update from the frontlines: Bruce County Council approved the Draft Plan of Subdivision Application last Thursday the 7th of September. There is a growing concern in the community that there was a lack of consultation on the part of the authorities and limited opportunity for public input in the process leading to approval. Our sense is that this environmentally destructive project is being pushed through as quickly and quietly as possible.
We are determined to see this matter through to its conclusion, and already have several promising leads. A small but passionate group of volunteers has rallied around this cause and we are working hard on finding avenues to make your voices heard. As we consolidate our position we will be looking for experts in 4 categories: planning, environmental, municipal/land use law and communications. If you have experience in any of these fields or know of anyone who does, and wish to contribute to our efforts, please get in touch.
A review of next steps is ongoing. We will continue to update you as the situation evolves. In the interim please continue circulating the petition; there is a copy attached. You can also sign online by following the instructions below. Any new signees are welcome.
